Is the MMR vaccine really free?
Yes! The measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine is free for people who can get it under this program.
You do not need a Medicare card to get a voucher.
When you show your voucher at a pharmacy that is part of the program, you will not pay anything. The vaccine and the service are both free.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Most participating pharmacies let you walk-in without an appointment. But we recommend calling first. This helps you check they have the vaccine and if they are busy.
How do I know if I need the MMR vaccine?
You may need the vaccine if:
- You are 20–59 years of age
- You haven’t had two documented doses of MMR vaccine
If you are not sure, the pharmacist can check your history.
What if my postcode isn’t participating?
If your Local Public Health Unit is not offering vouchers through pharmacies, you’ll be directed to information about how they’re offering MMR vaccinations in your area.
Can I get vaccinated at any pharmacy in Victoria?
Yes, you can go to any pharmacy in Victoria that is part of the program for your vaccination. Your voucher is linked to your home postcode. This makes sure the right Local Public Health Unit pays for your vaccine.
What do I need to bring to my vaccination?
- Your voucher (on your phone or printed)
- Photo ID
- Your Medicare card, if you have one
If you have old vaccination records, bring those too. They can help.
Are there any side effects?
Like all vaccines, MMR can cause some side effects, most are mild and go away quickly. Common effects are:
- A sore arm
- Mild fever
- A small rash
Serious side effects are very rare.
How long is my voucher valid?
Your voucher is valid for 30 days from the date you get it. If it runs out before you can use it, you can request a new one on this website.

Submit Your File for Processing
Once you’ve completed the voucher redemption template, you can email it to us for our team to review and process, along with your invoice. All invoices should be addressed to: The Vaccination Hub Pty Ltd, ABN: 81 693 082 316
Please ensure your files follow the correct format and includes all relevant voucher codes before submitting.
Before You Email Us:
– Use the provided template to ensure correct formatting
– Enter all voucher codes clearly in the designated column
– Do not leave the “Redeemed Date” field blank unless instructed otherwise, all voucher codes should have a redeemed date assigned
– Save your file in .xlsx, .xls, or .csv format
– Invoices can be uploaded in .xlsx or .pdf format
– Files must be smaller than 2MB
